Forest Tengu: Tengu are Japanese forest deities featured predominately in Yamabushi folklore, they are one of the more well known yōkai (spirits/ Monsters).
This sculpt will be available as a resin kit before the end of the year. Please note me if you are interested. Medium: Super Sculpey, Castilene, Wood. The kit will be entirely resin. Daily DeviationGiven 2009-07-18I've always liked mythical spirits, monsters and creatures and especially the folklore that surrounds them. Forest Tengu 1 by ~AliasGhost is a really interesting sculpture, I hadn't ever heard of Tengu before but having a look at the back ground and artwork based around them was a definite eye opener. The design of this piece, while being recognizable as a Tengu has its own style and uniqueness in the design and the construction. On top of this there is a myriad of different textures worked into the piece, each one sculpted with equal care and attention to detail. (Featured by ^Thebuild) |
